BIOGRAPHY
Southbound is a young blues rock band based in the U.K . The band consists of 5 members who have been together since the early days of Senior School and have honed their musicianship together as a gigging unit from the age of 15 to present day. For a modern band, Southbound has classic influences stemming from the Chicago and Delta blues as well as early and Southern rock, taking inspiration from iconic bands such as: Derek and the Dominoes, the Allman Brothers Band, Humble Pie, Santana, Muddy Waters, Johnny Winter and Ry Cooder. The band has been vigorously gigging around the U.K sharing the stage with some of Britain's best blues acts and have progressed to become their own headline act. This band has trodden the boards of many of the U.K's iconic music venues and have made a lasting impact at each one.
Southbound are determined to bring this historic music back to audiences with their original songs which blend blues, rock and soul with the end result being a fresh new approach on the genre with a young British fire behind it, breaking the restrictions on Blues and Rock and becoming something which is purely... Southbound.
